Hi friends! This is Nick, one of the children we are sponsoring and this is his story -  Nick was diagnosed with Kernicterus, a rare condition caused by Jaundice. Because of this he has CP, he is deaf, visually impaired and has epilepsy. He received a cochlear implant in 2003 which allows him to hear to a degree. You should  know that Nick is a happy, positive and courageous 8 year old! Nick's attitude is "don't worry about me, I am going to be fine." You know it has to be a special cause for us  to train for 6 months to run a marathon. And it is. We are sponsoring 2 incredibly special children  from the Phoenix Children's Hospital who have had more challenges in their lives than anybody should. We will share more of their stories with you as we continue this journey.
