Raising Hope

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please donate to the American Cancer Society to help continue to save lives.  Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate.  The money I will raise will not bring back my mom but it might save someone else life and family from loosing a loved one.  Many thanks for your support.

Hi Everyone.  As most of you know already, I'm currently training for the Ford WI Ironman in 2007.  My goal is simple, FINISH.

Why I'm doing the Ironman?

My mom died while going threw her cancer treatments about 8 years ago.  She had bought tickets to go to Hawaii with my dad before she past on.  One of her many dreams was to travel to Hawaii with my dad.  She never made it to Hawaii.  She died months before their trip.  I'm doing this Ironman for my own reasons and life struggles.  On the other hand its always in the back of mind its to get my mom to Hawaii.  You see, the Ironman Championships are hosted in Hawaii.  I'm not even close to making it to Hawaii this year, but maybe with some hard work I can make it a reality.  Going to Hawaii was one of my moms dreams.  During all of our lives, people tell you can't accomplish certain things due to health limitations or our own abilities.  I don't believe that at all as the mind and our own internal guts are very strong.  My mom told me at a very young age, you can do anything you want as long as you listen to others and never give upEven in the end of her life, she still had dreams of going to Hawaii.  I'm competing in this Ironman for my mom and myself.  Thanks for your time.
