This year, the Evangelical Fellowship Church - VBS program has chosen the Conley Outreach Community Services as its recipient of its donations.

Conley Outreach Bereavement Programs

Conley Outreach has ongoing free bereavement support programs available for children, teens and adults of all ages. Call 630/365-2880 for more information about any of our services.

Friendship Night, a support group for any adult grieving a loss, meets on the fourth Thursday of every month in Elburn. It is a close and private group offering friendship and non-judgmental support. Light refreshments and time for one on one sharing follows the group discussion. Friendship Night meets at 7pm at the Great Lakes Leadership Campus, 526 N. Main Street.

Mourning After is a support and friendship group for young widows and widowers, with and without children. Topics related to early widowhood are discussed in addition to general sharing and support.  Child care stipends are available to enable all parents to attend. This group meets at 7pm on the third Thursday of the month at the Elburn Community Center, 525 Main Street, in Room 10.

Grieving Parents’ Support (GPS) is a support group for parents who have suffered the death of a child. This group is open to all parents, no matter the age of the child at death or how long ago the death was. Call for dates and times.

Grief Share is a Biblically based 13 week seminar and support group for people experiencing grief and loss. The Grief Share video series features nationally recognized experts on grief recovery talking about a range of topics. Sessions include: “Living with Grief”, “Stuck in Grief”, and “Why?”  This program meets in a variety of community locations. Call for dates and times.

GTO—Good Time Out/Grief Time Out is our monthly special events program for children, youth and families. Programs include “Reining in Grief” using horses, scrap booking, holiday programs, and stepping stones. Call for dates, times and locations.   

RAINBOWS is a 14-week program for children kindergarten through 8th grade grieving a loss. It is held during the school year and is hosted at a local area church. Must start with first session. Registration is required. Call for dates and times.
