Rebecca Dorr's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. It is also the most efficient way for Humane Society of Greater Nashua (HSGN) to collect much needed funds.
If you have not heard of Walktoberfest, it is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the HSGN. It costs so much to run the facility and HSGN relies on donations and grants to keep the lights on.
Right now so many dogs and cats are being dropped at shelters because people simply cannot afford to care for them in this economy. Unfortunately, this also leads to massive overcrowding. Dogs are typically given 3-7 days in a pound before they are euthanized to make room for the next batch of unwanted pups. HSGN takes in dogs from some of the most critical areas in the nation and places them in loving homes here in New England.
As many of you know both Howie and Parker are rescue dogs, 2 very bright spots in my life. I lost Howie in April, but in the 8 years I had with him, I know he touched many lives, as many of the dogs who sit behind wire cages have the potential to touch someone's else's heart. My Grandmother was Howie's biggest fan and so it is in her memory and his that I am striving to reach my goal.
I know so many dogs that need help and a home. I hope to be able to help raise the money needed to run the shelter. it's just one thing I can do for the thousands of dogs who will pass through the HSGN on their way to forever loving homes.
Many thanks for your support.
