Dear friends and family,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!  As you know, I have been involved with AMIGOS for the past 8 1/2 years.  I am excited to be embarking on another enriching and challenging summer in Azuero, Panama.  I am confident this is going to be a truly amazing experience that will help me grow personally and professionally and give back to an organization that has played a huge role in shaping the woman I am today. 

This summer, the 13 AMIGOS projects will build partnerships that empower young leaders, advance community development, and strengthen multicultural understanding.  For over 40 years, AMIGOS has worked in Latin America on an array of health, education and environmental projects in local communities.   My project will be focusing on environmental health through partnerships with the Ministry of the Environment (ANAM), the Ministry of Social Development (MIDES), and a Panamanian non-profit, Panama Verde.  For the first time, we will also be recruiting Panamanian youth to serve as volunteers with our project.  

I would be honored if you would support the amazing work that AMIGOS will do this summer.  Even if only a small donation is possible, your generosity means the world to me.

Support AMIGOS in creating more youth leaders this summer:

•  $10 provides seeds for a community garden
• $25 provides materials and instruction to teach a classroom of children about hygiene and good nutrition
• $50 improves family nutrition and community reforestation with fruit trees
• $100 constructs three latrines to improve community health and sanitation
• $250 provides seeds for family gardens in 20+ communities
• $350 funds a leadership workshop for U.S. and Latin American Youth
• $500 builds a playground for one community
