On September 13, 2009, hundreds of caring individuals will be participating together in Stride Against Violence 2009 benefiting Apna Ghar (Our Home). I will be not be walking, as I am working during the event, but I would still like to raise funds for Apna Ghar's staff team. My personal fund raising goal is $500. I would appreciate any support that you could give me for this very worthwhile cause.

Domestic violence statistics are staggering. In the United States alone, at least three women are murdered every day by their intimate partners. One in four women report being victims of domestic violence, and this devastating social epidemic costs our country $6.7 billion a year.
