World Games 2007 - Jason Alexander
Jason has been involved in bowling, Nordic skiing, volleyball and softball in his 15 years as an athlete. He is very proud to be a part of his volleyball team, his ability to keep up with year-roud practices and the constant improvement of his skills. Special Olympics opened up many avenues of opportunity for him. He has met many people from across New York State and he now looks forward to meeting new friends all over the world. For Jason, the World Games means that his team has risen to the top of their abilities and they can now display those skills in a competetive setting against similar teams. His team has trained hard and they are ready to show their coaches that all of the practicing has paid off. He has been honored as the Albany County Athlete of the Year and in 2002 his whole volleyball team was nominated and selected as the Special Olympics Training Club of the year. He has been at New Visions for 15 years where he works in the kitchen setting up for lunch, cleaning, and then washing dishes afterwards. He enjoys taking care of his dog, Sunshine, playing Nintendo, and watching basketball and football on TV.
