Richard enjoys dancing, sports, trucks and cars, and NASCAR. Special Olympics has made him more confident and has allowed him to feel like part of a team and his community. With each award he gains more confidence and he maintains his strength through playing floor hockey, basketball, tennis, volleyball, track and field. He traveled to the World Games in Japan and won a gold medal, and he feels fantastic about making a second trip in the ten years that he has been a part of the organization. Richard also stays busy by working on a maintenance crew.
