Michael is very excited about Steps for Students walk this year. We were unable to participate last year, but with the grace of GOD the Requenes' will be out there this year to help raise money for his school, St. Rose of Lima. You are all welcome to join us for this 5K Run or Walk on Saturday, Feb. 20th. ALL money pledged, even your registration fee goes directly back to his school. For the past 2 years, St. Rose has won the David Guite Award for having the most participants. We went over and above our goal last year and with your help we will be able to reach our goal this year of $50,000.00.

St. Rose has just been great for Michael. He has been blessed to have such wonderful teachers. Math is his favorite subject. He tested 3rd grade level last year. He also enjoys reading and checking out "I Spy" books from the library. Though, he does get in trouble from time to time by swinging his arms and pretending he's taking a swing with his golf clubs. Yes, for those of you who don't know, he LOVES playing golf. I think the driving range has become his 2nd home. Too bad this isn't part of the school's curriculum :-). Art is another subject he's improved in. Last year in KN, his version of "Monet's Water Lilies" was 1 of 3 chosen to be displayed in a Kroger's Store. We are so proud of him. He has done exceptionally well at St. Rose.
