This is the second year for the Philadelphia RFK. Thanks to generous people like you, we set a first time event fund raising record in 2005. We need your to help make this a rousing success for a second year, so mark the date (Sept 17, 2005), and plan on helping out a ride that is fun and provides funds to give kids with brain tumors & cancer a fighting chance.

CURE THE KIDS...
IT’S MORE THAN A RIDE!
As you help with our Ride for Kids® fundraising goals, keep in mind how the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation uses the money you raise: Research grants are given to the nation’s leading research institutions. Through research, new therapies are developed that extend the lives of children and, we hope, will ultimately bring an end to this devastating disease. Our goal is to provide the best research possible and make that research available to help children throughout the world. Family Support services include a fulltime staff coordinator who assists patient families with questions and concerns; a series of informational Internet conferences with medical and social work professionals; free tumorspecific brochures; two quarterly newsletters; and two websites, www.pbtfus.org and www.rideforkids.org.
Scholarships are awarded to brain tumor survivors studying at a technical school, vocational school, junior college, or a four-year college or university. Since 2001, more than 100 students have continued their education with a PBTF scholarship. The Ride for Kids® is more than a ride—it also serves as an educational and support program for brain tumor patients and their families. At the post-ride Celebration of Life, they share their stories with the motorcyclists who give so generously to find a cure for this devastating disease. The money you raise is vital to the survival of these kids, and your efforts really do make a difference in their lives!
