My name is Rhys Speakman and I am one of the lucky ones.  I have a warm bed and full tummy every night, and a human who loves me very much.  But not all of us are so fortunate.  In San Antonio, there are many dogs and cats that live on the streets.  The thoughtful, caring people at the San Antonio Humane Society work very hard to provide food and shelter for as many of us as they can, medical services to keep us healthy,  adoption and rescue services to help us find loving homes, and education for humans on how to care for us.  I'd like to ask you to help me with fundraising for this wonderful group.  Every cent you donate will go directly to them and give more of us a chance at happy, safe, healthy lives as part of a loving family.

If I am elected El Rey Fido, I will work tirelessly in my community throughout the year as an Ambassador for the San Antonio Humane Society to make everyone aware of the joy that we can bring to a household, the unconditional love and companionship that we provide and educate them on the services that the Society offers.

I want all dogs and cats to go to bed each night with cookies on their soft fluffy pillows.  To have someone to scratch the spots we can't reach, rub our tummies, take care of us when we are sick and love us even when we get old.  Will you help me make that dream come true for more of San Antonio's homeless animals?
