Thanks for checking in.
To eveyone that joined our team in 2008, again, thank you. You'll recall that, together, we raised $7,300 for Team Boomer and the fight against Cystic Fibrosis.
This coming Sunday, March 21st I will be running in my second NYC 1/2 Marathon and wanted to use it as another opportunity to raise awareness of this desease and my family's personal struggle against it. Dominic was waiting for me at the NYC Marathon finish and it made the entire journey worth it.
This year has been an awesome year in CF research! Exciting new thereapies as well as, finally, clinical trials for drugs that are aimed at correcting the basic defect on the celluar level. We are optimistic that a cure is within reach. But research dollars are needed. The CFF recieves NO federal money, ALL research money comes from donations. Please considering donating, and help in being part of the cure.
Also, this year we are having the Second Annual Dance for Dominic on April 18, 2010 and would love if you could all make it! You can find the details at www.dancefordominic.com But we know that may not be possible.
So there are other ways we would like to ask for your help.
1. Join our Great Strides team and walk with us May 16, 2010 in Mittineague Park in West Springfield or
2. Find a local walk in your area.
3. Visit our Great Strides page at
http://www.cff.org/Great_Strides/JenniferNavarrete and donate to our walk. You can also sign up to be part of our team!
4. Support my run and donate directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through this website. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to help in the fight against Cystic Fibrosis.
God bless.
