This year from August 22-27, 2010 up to 200 teams of two will take on the Colorado Rockies for a running experience like no other. During the six days of the GORE-TEX® TransRockies Run, runners from all over the world will run, eat and live together as they cover 113 miles of spectacular scenery, fully supported by a dedicated and professional Event Team who will look after all aspects of their food, accommodations and on-course support.
The GORE-TEX® TransRockies Run course runs from Buena Vista to Beaver Creek, through the heart of the White River and San Isabel National Forests. The course includes a mix of singletrack and forest road with nearly 25,000 feet of elevation gain, reaching altitudes of over 12,500 ft.

As for myself, I would like to invite you to support the V Foundation as I have pledged to raise money through my participation in this event. The V Foundation supports cancer research in the name of Jim Valvano, who championed his cause in a famous speech durinng the ESPY's, and his organization has raised millions of dollars, WITH EACH AND EVERY DOLLLAR GOING TO CANCER RESEARCH - 100% of your contribution!

Not 1 cent is used for "administrative" costs.

I understand the challenges we all face in this current economy, but I am willing to bet that each and every one of you has been touched in some way by someone with cancer. Money raised for research and cure is the  most important medical battle we fight every day, so PLEASE HELP!

I wiill accept any and all amounts you feel able to donate. Again, EACH AND EVERY DOLLAR goes directly to research!
