On April 8, 1999 my family lost Cathy to Nodular Melanoma after a difficult 18 month struggle.  In our family of 8 kids, she was the only sister and daughter.  She was mother to 4 beautiful children.  She was 31. 

On July 25, 2011 I begin my attempt of traversing the USA on foot to raise money for the Cancer Research Institute in Cathy's memory. From Cathy's death was born in me a special compassion for people in pain, and from Maine to California, each step carries the intention of helping those affected by cancer.
