MSV is an organization dedicated to ending violence against women. Our focus is to stop battering, and it is our intention to work toward ending rape and incest. As we work to help men change their abusive behavior, we recognize that individual change is dependent upon changing social systems, which support the private and institutional oppression of women. In this struggle, we look to the battered women's movement to keep the reality of the problem and the vision of the solution before us. Believing that all forms of oppression reinforce one another, we also seek to confront other power hierarchies, which are based on race, class, or sexual orientation.
