Bladder Cancer is the fifth most common cancer in the US, with the highest recurrence rate of any cancer including skin cancer and the highest lifetime cost per patient of any cancer (estimated between $100,000 and $200,000). While fifth in incidence, bladder cancer is 21st in funding among the major cancers.
We have created the Inspire fund for the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) with four goals:
- that we might speak with one voice,
- that we might honor those who are fighting,
- that we might remember those who have lost our battle, and
- with the fervent hope that others might not walk in our path.
BCAN is working with the medical and scientific community to increase research into bladder cancer and improve bladder cancer treatments, which we all need to support.
Your donation will also help provide education and support to the bladder cancer community and raise awareness of this under-recognized disease. Please note "In Honor of [insert name here]" or "In Memory of [insert name here]" in the Comments field to make your donation in someone's name.
