Rick Florez's Fundraising Page
Dear Family, Colleagues and Friends:
Please join me in supporting the athletes of Special Olympics! On Saturday, October 17 I will be Bowling for the Gold, rolling for strikes and spares at The Alley on Hillsborough St. in Raleigh in support of opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The enthusiasm, courage, and joy shared by Special Olympics athletes is inspiring, and I am proud to ask you to join my campaign on the lanes to help make year-round sports training and competition programs possible for these special people.
This SONC fundraiser is being held in memory of Jim Long, former commissioner of insurance for NC, and one of the founders of the Special Olympics movement in North Carolina.
Special Olympics North Carolina currently serves more than 38,000 athletes in 20 different sports. Your support will provide the uniforms, medals and ribbons, coaches’ education, training facilities and transportation that make Special Olympics programs possible and will allow people with special needs to reach new heights in sports and in life.
I need you! I hope you will support my efforts to knock down pins as together we build life-changing opportunities and experiences for Special Olympics athletes in NC.
Thank you for your support!
