Do you know that 36 million Americans go hungry, including 13 million children! For the 5th straight year I'm going to participate in the 2009 Greater Lafayette Hunger Hike on September 20, and I hope you will support me. I'm excited to be a part of this annual effort which raises funds for three anti-hunger programs in my community: Lafayette Urban Ministry, Food Finders Food Bank, and St. Thomas Aquinas Haiti Committee. As you know my passion has been to help the people in Haiti and for this year I'm also serving on the Hunger Hike Board that plans this event.
