Team Hope Walk- New York City
Hello Good Friends and Loving Family,
As you may know, my son-in-law Richard Ashford was diagnosed several years ago to have Huntington’s Disease . He has not been able to work for a couple years. Our daughter, Carol and her two sons, Grant 17 and Geoffrey, 16 are loving, caring and supportive - Richard is a very fortunate guy to have them.
The Huntington’s Disease Society, New York City Chapter has been very helpful to Carol, during this stressful time . Sisters, Barbara, Janet Susan and I wish we were closer but are doing what we can to be helpful . Right now, he best we can do is to seek financial support for The Huntington Dusease Society. The HD Team Hope Walk, held this year in September, is their major activity to provide funds for research and services to caregivers. Last year our family team, “Team Richard”, raised over $8,600. thanks to your most generous support . Thank you!!! Last year Janet and Susan traveled to New York for the event and I believe they plan to attend again this year.
We ask once again tfor your continuing assistance. I am keenly aware of the many worthy causes with which we are bombarded these days and will understand if you do not choose to contribute In any case, please wish us well!!! You may make a contribution on line by following the instruction on this web site.
Many thanks for your consideration. Somehow, I know Kay's sririt joins me in wishing you and your famlies, “all the best”. As for me, the lovely Gretta and my beautiful family keep me going!!!
Love & Hugs,
Bob
