TIME FOR DONATIONS IS RUNNING OUT - PLEASE MAKE YOURS NOW!!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Semper Fi Fundraising Page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts.

In an effort to raise funds for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, three of us will be running the Shakespeare Marathon in Stratford, England on 7 May and eight of us will be running the ING Marathon in Luxembourg on 27 May.  All of us have completed at least one tour in support of combat operations in Iraq and all of us have had a number of friends wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.  The Semper Fi Fund helps support wounded Marines, sailors, and their families by assisting them during the difficult rehabilitation period.  Please review their website and read some of the stories for more details:  http://www.semperfifund.org/

Please give what you can.  We are not asking for charity;  we are asking for your support, which is a small price to pay for the men and women who are so willing to give the ultimate sacrifice in support of our country.

Thank you and Semper Fidelis,

LtCol Blubaugh, Capt Fettig, Capt Grass, Capt Kershul, Capt Martin,

Capt Mullery, 1stSgt O'Sullivan, Cpl Parker, Capt Quy,Capt Swantner,

Capt Warfield

Six more Marines and Liesel ran the ING Marathon in Luxembourg on 27 May.  Although it was a hilly course and somewhat rainy, they ran some outstanding times.  They are as follows:  Capt Mullery 3:20, LtCol Blubaugh 3:22, Capt Swantner 3:44, Capt Kershul 3:49, Capt Quy 3:51, Capt Warfield 4:21, and Liesel Stamm, who participated in the Half-Marathon, ran a 2:25.  It appears as if Quy drafted Swantner for the first 26, but couldn't take the lead for the last .2.

Gerry Thielemann from US Consulate General, Frankfurt will be running a marathon on 24 June to help us raise funds for the Semper Fi Fund.  Mr. Thielemann is the spouse of a US Army Sergeant Major and together they have a daughter who served 6-years in the Army.

Liesel Stamm from Frankfurt has also decided to run a half-marathon in Luxembourg to help raise money for the cause.  She is a long-time Marine supporter; 1st-time racer.

Three of us completed our first marathons yesterday.  The location was beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon, England   We are a little sore, but are very happy to have had the opportunity to run the race and to help raise money for such a great cause.  Our times were as follows:  Capt Fettig 3:43, Capt Grass 4:11, and Cpl Parker 5:23.  The second group will be running their marathon on 27 May.

The support continues to be overwhelming...and like all Marines, we are never satisfied.  Although we have met our first two goals, we have once again decided to raise the bar -- $50,000.  There is one week until the England marathon and three more to go until Luxembourg.  Thanks again or all the support.

Due to the tremendous showing of support, we have decided to raise the goal from $10,000 to $30,000.  We will not be able to reach this new goal without the support of new contributors.  So, please pass this on to your friends, family, and anyone else you believe would be willing to help support this cause.
