Thank you for visiting my personal fund raising web page for Junior Achievement of Chicago, DuPage County Division.

As a member of the JA Board of Directors, I am passionate about helping students find links between their classwork and the real world. JA provides material and guides to help volunteers like me to be an effective coach. I look forward to going into the classroom and helping the students learn the things “I wish I would have known before entering the workforce”. JA programs focus on financial literacy, entrepreneurship and workforce readiness. There is nothing more rewarding than the look on a students face when they get a connection.

Unfortunately, the demand for JA is far greater than we are currently able to provide. Each year, an increasing number of educators and parents ask us for our programs. As a result, we have developed a strategic plan that will strive to meet the increasing demand for JA classroom programs, but we can't do it without help.

DuPage County's goal for the 2009-2010 school year is to reach over 50,000 students in 2,400 classrooms with relevant economic education programs.

My goal this year is provide JA for at least 80 students this semester.
