Thank you for visiting my “Super Plunge” fundraising page. Last year many of you said I was nuts for jumping into freezing cold Lake Michigan 24 times in 24 hours. Well I must be nuttier than you thought cause I'm 'freezin for a reason' again. Why? Because I can and I can't think of a better charity to do it for. If any of you have seen or been involved with a Special Olympics event, you know what I'm talking about. Many of you also overwhelmed me with your generous support last year, enabling me raise over $3200.00. Once again I am asking for your generosity. I’m collecting pledges from family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to support Special Olympics Illinois athletes. Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in sports training and competition.
To reward your generosity, I’m going to voluntarily jump (well actually RUN) into freezing cold Lake Michigan 24 times in 24 hours, February 22nd and 23rd, 2008 as we take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run SUPER POLAR PLUNGE for Special Olympics Illinois. Plus, my crazy buddy Bruce "Over the Top" Quintos and I will be pipin and drummin the whole crew into the water on the FINAL plunge.
