Thank you for visiting our Team Deloitte Fundraising Page.
As many of you know, the Boston Marathon has always been a big part of the Boston community. For the 11th straight year, we’ve had the opportunity to assemble a Deloitte Team to run and represent Brigham and Women’s Hospital in the fight against cancer. The Deloitte Team will be raising money for the Ellen Gabriel Fund. The Ellen Gabriel Fund was started in memory of Ellen Gabriel, a Deloitte & Touche partner who lost her battle with breast cancer in 1999. This fund promotes wellness and early breast cancer detection programs for women of lesser means in the Greater Boston area. Ellen was a leader in the accounting profession. Her efforts helped revolutionize workplace flexibility, contributing to programs for working mothers.
Sadly, so many of us have been impacted by cancer. Fighting cancer, like training for a marathon, requires the support of those friends and family that surround us! We must call on our spirits, bodies and minds to push through the pain in a marathon and in the battle against cancer.
Every little bit helps! Your change can bring change in the fight against cancer!
The following are some examples of items that Team Deloitte/Team Brigham’s fund raising will support:
· $350 pays for a wig for a woman with breast cancer
· $400 pays for breast cancer education and outreach for immigrant women
· $500 covers 12 months of Tamoxifen for a breast cancer survivor
In April, we will welcome the challenge of running 26.2 miles through the streets of Boston! Please help us by supporting our team in our effort to contribute to the fight against cancer.
