Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Cleveland Animal Protective League. As you can see I have exceeded my sixth goal of $1400.00, again with the help of all of my animal loving friends. I only have until 25Apr. for on-line donations and 28Apr. for cash/check donations, but with your help I think I can make it to $1600.00.
As many of you know I have been a foster mom for the Cleveland APL since November of 2008. As of today I have fostered 127 cats/dogs/puppies and kittens. Luckily, the APL takes care of finding wonderful homes all I have to do is take care of them until they are large enough to neuter or well enough to be adopted. The hardest part of fostering is giving them back to the APL.
I have had foster animals that have had legs amputated, eyes removed, and almost starved to death, but with donations from people like you the APL was able to provide the treatments they needed to get these animals healthy and to the forever homes they deserve. The APL is a nonprofit organization since 1913 that does not receive any government assistance and relies solely on donations from people like you.
This is one of the first kittens that I fostered and I fell in love with him. He was abandoned at the back door of the APL with an upper respitory infection in December and was only about 3 weeks old. He was obviously abused because someone shaved his back and he was very thin. He is a special kitty having 1 extra toe on each paw and his front legs look like he is wearing Argyle socks. That's how he got his name. Now he is 1 1/2 yrs old, 9lbs and having a great time in our home with our other 6 cats and 3 dogs. A happy ending for both him and my family.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It doesn't have to be a large donation, just anything you feel you could afford to help animals like this kitten that didn't have the luxury of a warm loving home to take care of him. If you prefer to donate by check please make it out to the Cleveland Animal Protective League and send it to me at mail stop WGTVO1 here at Corporate Headquarters. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 216-896-4661.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! Your donations are tax deductible.
Thank you!
