Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

     As you know, last year I was fortunate enough to join the MASH training team and accomplish my goal of finishing my first half marathon!   MASH is used as the fundraising vehicle for Medical Ministries International which is a local non-profit that sends surplus medical supplies to several third world countries.  Things such as stethoscopes, incubators, IV bags, and surgical instruments that are unopened but that would be discarded here, are shipped to these impoverished countries.  Last year, MMI shipped out 50 tons of supplies to countries like Haiti, Indonesia, and the Congo.   When I was introduced to the people who run MMI, I made a life changing decision, and this year, will be going on a mission trip  with a team of medical doctors and volunteers to Fiji!!

  The people of Fiji are often under-served and in need of medical care, so MMI partners with Global Passion Ministries to reach people in the most remote of villages.  We will hold primary care medical clinics - which also consist of dental care and optical services.  Additionally, our team wants to be certain that patients hear the good news of Jesus Christ and are prayed with regarding their specific needs.
    
      I am really looking forward to serving in Fiji~getting to know the people and reaching out to them with Christ's love.  It will be good for me to experience another culture and spend time helping others, and for God to teach me to be a good servant.  This will probably be the biggest adventure of my lifetime, and for two weeks we will be without running water, electricity, and will eat mostly fruit, fish, and rice.  It is way out of my comfort zone, but God has told me all along that this is what I am supposed to do, so I am trusting Him and goin' for it!!

 
     The trip is scheduled to take place  July 10-24.   The estimated cost for the trip is $3000 which includes all of my travel, lodging, and food.  It's not easy for me to ask for donations, but this is something that I have prayerfully considered, and I need your help.  All donations are tax deductable if my name is not written anywhere on your check.
