Training update:
I ran my first race ever on June 29th.  I ran the 5K in 38:21 that is an avg. of 12:21minute mile, not bad for never running before....

Most recently I ran the Chicago Distance Classic Half Marathon in 03:06:03

This all started back In Februrary when I started working at WMBI and offered to help setup and work the check in table at a running clinic we held with World Vision. Well God placed it on my heart and I ended up deciding  to run the Chicago Marathon October 12.

The Word Vision team is collecting donations for a clean water project in Africa. I was proud to be part of World vision when the recent storms hit  in several countries in Asia.They were one of the few Christian org. in position to respond to peoples needs.

World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like: clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.
