Last year, on a 26 mile tour from Mt. Masfield to my house in Elmore, VT, Breck K. (the VYCC Development Guru) and I hatched an idea for a backcountry ski tour to benefit the VYCC. Be careful what ideas you float Breck's way...you might be signing yourself up for something!

This tour is going to be a LOT of fun, and what's even better, is we hope to raise awareness and funds for the VYCC. If you hike in Vermont, you've benefitted from their work. As a teacher, I've seen the positive change in students who return to school in the fall after a season on a VYCC crew. They develop confidence, leadership skills, and a positive, problem solving attitude that carries over into all aspects of their lives.

Please consider joining the tour yourself, or at a minimum, supporting the VYCC's efforts to provide these meaningful and life-changing experiences for Vermont's youth.
