Last year I became involved with the VYCC through my friendship with the development director, Breck Knauft. On a long ski tour two years ago from Mt. Mansfield to my house in Elmore (around 26 miles), Breck and I got to talking about organizing a fund/friend raiser for the VYCC. Last year, the first Bolton to the Barns tour was a resounding success. We had awesome weather, a great turnout, and everyone had a superb time.

This year we are hoping for more skiers and more donations as well. If you are unfamiliar with the VYCC, spend a little time on their site and you'll see why it's such a great organization.

The tour is a wonderful opportunity for people to support the VYCC, as well as enjoy one of the only supported backcountry ski tours in the state. The route will be well-marked with rest areas along the way, and we're going to have a great party at the end. New this year, a band and BABYSITTING! Too good to be true for all of us who have youngish children roaming around...
