In 2007 I was one of the lucky few who was able to receive a kidney transplant.  This kidney donation was made possible by the generosity of  my doner family - who in a time of great heart ache and sorrow for the loss of their loved one, still had the spirit of giving in their heart.

In an effort to live our new lives to the fullest, The National Kidney Foundation is hosting an event called the U.S. Transplant games.  This event is intended to provide a venue for recipients of organ transplants to get together with fellow recipients and to compete against eachother in the spirit of living.  This event also provides a avenue for the donor families to meet with other families who also provided the gift of life to others.

Team Illinois is comprised of Organ Recipients from the great state of Illinois and will be the representatives in the games for Illinois.

The U.S. Transplant Games will be held in Madison Wisconsin July 30, thru Aug. 4, 2010. 

Due to the location of the games, participants will experience a great deal of expense in travel, lodging, reistration fees etc.  It is my hope that I can count on you to help offset these expenses for some of the participants - while I am fortunate enough to handle the expenses for my travel, many are not.  Please help by contribing to this great cause......
