Cerebral Palsy K.I.D.S. Center

2010 Walk and Roll for K.I.D.S. Louisville,  Kentucky

Ron Lehocky's Fundraising Page

We are enjoying the warmer weather  and preparing for the Derby festivities so it must be spring.  And that means it is also time for The Kids Center's biggest fund raiser: The Walk and Roll for Kids.   This year's walk will be on Saturday, May 15th starting at 9:00 at Fourth Street Live. If you can, join us. If not be a part of this fun event by making a donation to my team.

This year I am walking for Mallory hoping that someday she will also be able to walk instead of roll. Mallory is now two years old and she was the surviving child of a twin pregancy. Her out coming was ill fated and she has severe cerbral palsy and receives therapy at the KIDS Center to help her talk, sit, feed herself  and eventually walk. She is a hard worker and is now taking a few steps when assisted.  As you can see in the photo she has a beaming countenance and an endearing smile.

Mallory is the only child of  two wonderful parents. However, like many families in this current economic environment , they are dealing with unemployment and the loss of insurance. Our mission at the Kids Center is to never deny needed therapy  to kids because of an inability to pay.  We are supporting Mallory and her family until their situation improves. Although she is willing to sell kisses, Mallory needs  more funding support from  you and  the community.

That is why I am walking. Mallory and many other kids in her situatiuon need our support. One way to show that support is to raise funds for the center to offset the annual budget deficit ($600,000) that the center experiences each year because of the subsidize care we provide.

I appreciate any contribution you can make to help me reach my goal and to assure that  the Kids Center can keep their promise to the families and the special  kids that benefit from the therapies we provide.

It is easy to use this web site but if you are uncomfortable you can mail your check (made out to the Kids Center) to me at 1763 Casselberry Rd, 40205.

Our mission at the center is to see the ABILITY in disability. Thanks for helping us do that.
