Help Me Help a Child

Hello from Ronnie Lunsford

I am sending this out to raise money for much needed research for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

The 19th annual Houston Ride for Kids event is Sunday May 1st, 2011.

If you ride a motorcycle, please come and join us, if you are not in the Houston area please consider supporting a Ride for Kids event in your area.

The photo you see is Garrett Clark leading the pack at our 2010 event. Garrett is one of the many brave, young brain tumor survivors, who is doing very well thanks to the research that is being done, at Texas Childrens Hospital and MD Anderson- research that is funded by our annual Ride for Kids event.

Our 2011 Ride for Kids event is Sunday May 1st at the Humble Civic Center. We ride for and with the kids rain or shine. I have been involved with the Houston Ride for Kids event for 19 years. In 2010 our event raised $290,418 that goes directly to research. Honda donates a motorcycle that is given away at each event across the United States, I am proud to say, that since Houston was the largest event in the United States in 2010, that someone will be the winner of a brand new Honda Gold Wing motorcycle  that day !!!!!!!

We have made tremendous progress in this terrible disease, but unfortunately we continue to lose young children that we should not be losing. Brain tumors continue to be the # 1 killer of children under the age of 20. These children and their families go through what no child or parent should ever have to endure, including chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation.

This is a special day for the kids and their families as they all look forward to participating and riding in our ride !!!!!!!!

Please help make the difference in the life of a child diagnosed with a brain tumor by making a tax deductible donation for our much needed research. Donating through this site is simple, fast, and totally secure. It also the most effecient way to make a contribution to our fund raising efforts.  Many thanks for your support, and don't forget to please share this page with anyone you think would like to help the kids with a donation !!!!!  With your  help we will find a cure for childhood brain tumors.

Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page.

I'd also like to share this Firstgiving Page from a mother that has been through this with her son, Zachary, because it tells the story so much better than I ever could. Please visit You may choose to donate to Angei's site, The money all goes to the same place, the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Angei's story illustrates why we need to continue to work hard to raise funds for research to battle this dreadful disease. This should not be happening.
