Homer- DCSPCA's Fundraising Page
Our Petwalk this year is being led by a perseverent and sweet beagle named Homer, who was rescued as a stray by the Dutchess County SPCA. Homer is an older dog and suffers from a spinal problem that left him unable to walk. He came to us thin and weak, but we are happy to report that he is now thriving in a loving home, scooting around in a cart made lovingly for him by volunteer hands.
“Homer” is the face of countless shelter dogs. Often animals that are older are simply let out the door to fend for themselves. The DCSPCA is here to open our hearts and provide for animals like Homer until they can find someone special to call their own. Just see what a dollar can do and then get your family, friends, co-workers, even strangers to give you a dollar or five or ten for this worthy cause. Added together those dollars will go a long way. When you come to the registration table with all of your collected dollars, tell us that you’ve raised lots of money to help Homer’s friends at the shelter to find a brighter tomorrow. Homer, and the other homeless animals waiting for their second chance, thank you.
