I am making this page for a rescue dog in serious need of medical treatment!Oreo is a purebred 5 year old female Dalmatian.I rescued her from a bad situation and soon found that there was more to this girl.She has been heart worm positive for 3 years!Along with this she also has VERY bad seizures and has a hard time holding food and water down.We have fallen so much in love with this girl and want her to be happy and healthy again!

Oreo and I are so HAPPY that everyone is lending a helping hand,I want to thank everyone who has donated to help this girl! Its such a pick me up to know that Oreo will soon be on her way to a healthy body.She deserves it!

ALMOST HALF WAY THERE!YAY!I just can't thank everyone enough.Oreo has been awesome,She's such a great dog!We just mastered laydown.So now she knows sit,paw and laydown!We have set up a few doggy playdates so far at the park and she loves to run and play.You can see the diffrence in her when she runs,she has a hard time keeping up :( She's just so wonderful and we love her so much!

I made an appointment at the vet office for Oreo yesterday.She is going in for her bloodwork and x-ray to see how bad the heartwork is.From there they will decide which treatment to do and how to go about getting her back to normal!YAY! I decided to start her treatment since i am over half of my donation target! I am in hopes to raise the rest in time for her second treatment.Thank you so much to everyone who has donated once again!!!!!!

Oreo is still waiting to go to the vets,Deb is doing an awesome job helping me get this all sorted out,Thank you!Oreo is doing well,No more seizures as of right now.We have figured a way to keep her food down.After she eats we let her keep calm in her crate for about 20 minutes and then she is fine.She is just such a wonderful dog!

Oreo is not so well right now,From 5am-9am she had 4 seizures and was loosing the battle i think!I got her into the vets and they did her x-ray for the heart-worm,She does have it but not bad!YAY!They took blood and will let me know tomorrow the results of that.They feel her seizures are from epilepsy! so she is on phenobarbital for those.In 2 weeks she will be starting her first round of heart-worm treatment,Please pray for her!In 30 days she will need her second round.Only half way there for my goal!!Donations are very much appreciated in any amount!

Just got a call from the vet and he said Oreo's blood work came back clean,No heart-worm larva!So i guess the heart guard over 3yrs did good for Oreo.He said she still needs the treatment for the adult worms even though they are sterile.Oreo seems to be doing well on her medication,The vet said she would be tired taking 3 pills but man has she been hyper!He said he has never seen a dog be that way!I think she knows we are trying to make her better! :)

Oreo just got home from the vet,she recieved her first heartworm treatment and came through awesome!No side effects or symptoms of any kind so far,YAY!She is such a strong girl! I have used up my donations and she still is in need of a second treatment in 30 days!

Sorry it has been so long since the last update!With 4 kids under 5 and me being sick life has been crazy!Oreo is doing awesome,You can tell she is feeling better.She has so much love to give and a lust for life.I need to get her fixed soon,Right now she is going through a false pregnancy and man has that been interesting to say the least.Anyone else been through this same thing with another dog?The vets wont fix her right now since they dont think her seizures are under control?Not sure why they think that but i guess they know more than me about this stuff....Anyways,Thanks to all who have helped me and oreo on this journey to health.
