Hi All!

As many of you know, I like (yes, really!) to run marathons and this year I am finally going to run the Boston Marathon.  As I chug along, I will be raising funds for a great client of ours, Citizen Schools.   I had the fortunate experience of being introduced to Citizen Schools when I was asked to cover the account when a colleague took maternity leave. I was impressed by the commitment I saw and the quality of the organization.

I am writing to ask you to donate to this great organization. Any amount will be greatly appreciated -- though bigger amounts are better.  The fundraising target is $5,000 but I am really aiming for that to be a minimum.  For an organization such as Citizen Schools, private donations are critical.  Also, this year is their first year with fundraising through the Boston Marathon, and we want to ensure a great fundraising effort.

Citizen Schools is committed to education by partnering with middle schools to expand the learning day for children in low-income communities across the country.  By drawing thousands more citizens into schools each year, Citizen Schools is promoting student achievement, transforming schools, and re-imagining education in America.  Citizen Schools is committed to closing the achievement gap.
