Hello Everyone,

Please take a minute to read through and learn about an event I am participating in on August 24th in NYC.  SEA Paddle NYC is an annual event that allows me to paddle surf around the island of Manhattan while raising money for charities who focus on autism awareness and support.  This is a cause near and dear to my family and heart, as members of my extended family have been affected by autism. 

The benefactors of SEA Paddle NYC 09 are Surfers Healing, Autism Speaks, Autism Family Services of NJ, Autism NJ, and Surfer's Environmental Alliance. It has been shown that surfing can be a calming and euphoric activity for those suffering with autism and this is the third year that the Surfer's Environmental Alliance has been running this event.

This is not a race - it is a Stand Up Paddle event. The sole purpose of the event is to raise money for Autism Awareness and the Surfer's Environmental Alliance.

I realize times are tough but I think this is an excellent cause.  Any donation is very much appreciated.
