In the summer of 2012, Jenn Gibbons, Founder and Coach of Recovery on Water, will row the entire 1,500 mile perimeter of Lake Michigan. Departing from Chicago and traveling along the coast of Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana, she will be “stopping by” port towns along the lake–bringing awareness to the vital tool that exercise plays in the fight against breast cancer.

As a part of this solo row, she is raising funds and awareness for Recovery on Water (ROW), the charitable organization she founded in 2008. All funds raised towards this effort will help provide scholarships and equipment for the ROW team so that more survivors can get fit, fight back, and have fun.

A trip like this has never been undertaken. Jenn will be rowing 30 miles a day, stopping only to sleep and share the mission of ROW. She will consume 5,000 calories of dehydrated food a day, and sleep in her vessel, Liv, every night.

Each month until she leaves on June 16, our goal is to raise $10,000 towards the trip.  To give you a better idea of the total fundraising goal, take a look below:
