East Africa is dealing with the effects of the worst drought and famine in the last half-century.

Lack of rain and the death of livestock have devastated this region.

Babies and young children under five are the most vulnerable, and the first to die of thirst and malnutrition.

The Save the Children organization is at work in the region, providing food, water, and medical care to children and their families.
