We are very fortunate to again be involved with the Boston Marathon.  This year is special because:

• Russ is able to run!  He has worked hard to lose weight with Weight Watchers (thanks Tanya Crews and the gang at WW) and feels healthy enough to attempt to run the full 26.2 miles!  He has made it to 18 so far and is still going strong.  He is hoping his knee and bionic hip hold out for the duration.  So far he is kicking Lisa's butt!  
• Lisa is running Boston for the lucky 13th time!  13 is lucky for us because Emily and Russ' Mom Louise were both born on a Friday the 13 so this year Lisa will finish again with a smile.  Over the 13 years there have been some wonderful runs and some not so wonderful runs-but her body keeps on holding out for one more year.  So up the hills we go.....
• Mass Eye and Ear-  They are a small and personal group to run for and we feel the funds we raise are directly helping people with vision and hearing problems.  Lisa and Russ have friends who have been treated at Mass Eye and Ear and are seeing today because of their outstanding services.  Lisa works with people who have Macular Degeneration and are benefitting from the research and treatment provided by Mass Eye and Ear.
