I won the lottery!! And on January 30, 2011, I will be participating in the Houston Half Marathon.
I am only able to take on this goal because of one simple thing: I have an amazing Reason2Race and to have my team raise $100,000 for Cherish Our Children International.
Team COCI (www.teamcoci.org) has already raised $60,000 this season, and I know with your support, we will make a difference with many children, like Devon from Houston. Through participation in our 'No More Victims' program, he has beaten the odds and graduated from high school and college instead of ending up in prison like his parents. See a video about Devon.
I am also helping children like Ido and Mohammed from Israel, who despite years of conflict in their communities, have become the best of friends through our 'Bridge to Peace' program and now look forward to their weekly educational sessions and soccer games.
Please join me in supporting these children and so many others like them! One way you can make a difference is by making a contribution of any amount.
