Mongolia
On July 25th 2009 Ryan and Ajay will be setting off from London to drive approximately 6000 miles to Ulaan Baatar in Mongolia in an ex-military ambulance. When we arrive there we will donate our vehicle to a local medical centre for use as a mobile clinic.
We also want to raise money for projects that Save The Children run in the local area. Last year Save The Children helped to improve the quality of education of 12,125 pre- and primary school Mongolian children by training 485 preschool teachers in child-centred teaching methods. Additionally they enabled 2,593 poor, nomadic, minority ethnic and disabled children to go to pre- and primary school by setting up kindergartens and providing mobile teachers.
Save The Children also work to protect vulnerable children from harm. Last year in Mongolia they provided social work, family reunification, recreation and counselling services for 4,500 children. They also provided physiotherapy, massage, play and exercises for 48 disabled children and their families, and a further 2,000 disabled children benefited from training and information that Save The Children gave to their parents and carers
The donation of our vehicle will help save many children's and adults's lives over the years to come. By donating here, you can provide additional funds direct to Save The Children for use in Mongolia.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure, and the money goes direct to Save The Children.
Thank you for your kind contribution.
