Brattle Watch-A-Thon FundRaiser

Amount Pledged Per Movie (in addition to the amount raised shown above): $9

Movie Viewing Goal: 30 Movies

Movies Viewed So Far: 31 Movies (21 Screenings)

(See full list of movies below. Movies seen at the Brattle count as 2 movies. Movies seen at other theaters count as 1 movie.)

I'm participating in the Brattle Theater's Watch-A-Thon Fund Raiser. The non-profit Brattle theater needs to raise $500,000 by early 2007 so that they can continue showing repertory films and other programs in Harvard Square.
As part of the Watch-A-Thon, I am asking friends/family/co-workers to pledge any amount they wish for each film that I will watch at the Brattle between Jan 12 and Feb 16. Any movies I see at a theater besides the Brattle only count as one-half of a movie. My personal goal is to see 15 movies in five weeks, but if you really push me I might see more! You can also make a straight donation if you are worried I might go nuts and spend all weekend at the theater.

You can give me your money as cash, check or give online using this Web page.

I've included more information on the Brattle fundraising campaign below.

Keep watching this page for my movie list!

Thanks!

- Ryan

More Information on the Fundraiser from the Brattle

In October, the Brattle Film Foundation, the non-profit organization that programs and operates the Brattle Theatre, announced the most important fundraising effort in its 52-year history. The Preserve The Brattle Legacy campaign is a critical fundraiser that is necessary to continue repertory film programming at the Brattle. In order to help them reach this goal, I am participating in their Movie Watch-A-Thon and ask that you sponsor me as part of this fundraising event. If they do not meet this goal, the BFF will be forced TO CEASE OPERATIONS AT THE BRATTLE THEATRE, effectively ending the 52 year legacy of repertory film programming at the Brattle. I don't want to see that happen and I ask that you help me make sure it doesn't. You can make a donation through my webpage by credit card.
