Autism is an important cause for me because my two good friends have a son that is autistic. When I hang out with him, I can tell that he has a different way of interacting with people. No matter what, though, he has a beautiful heart and I feel that he shares his love so openly. I don't want him to change, but I also know that without autism his life would be different.
From the Chairman's Message:
OAR's mission then is "to apply research to the challenges of autism." To me, that implies three fundamental objectives: Raise money. Fund research. Change lives. It's that simple, and the ultimate goal—making a lasting impact on the lives of children and adults with autism—compels us to raise the bar in fundraising and research funding each year.
Change lives. That is a message that I appreciate and a goal that I can support. I hope that many of you will be able to donate to this cause and help in changing lives of children and adults that have autism. Thank you for your support and kindness.
