Maija is a sweet 3 year old and has food protein induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES). It is a non-IgE allergy that causes vomiting, diarrhea, and can lead to shock. Currently she is on elemental formula only. I want to help bring awareness to others about this disease as it is rare and often misdiagnosed.
