I'm participating in the local Out of Darkness walk to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, which offers programs to educate people about suicide and reaches out to anyone in need of support. My life has been touched twice by suicide, including the death of my best friend, Kelly. I walk in hopes that through education and caring, no more precious lives are lost to suicide. And I walk for those who are gone but still inspire us all to live better lives.
