Pretty Boy's Fundraising Page
"He's had a hard life." That's the first thing the emergency room vet said about Pretty Boy.
We had received a request to help a black male cat whose owners had moved away without him. A kind neighbor was feeding him but unable to keep him. When we picked Pretty Boy up, he was wrapped in a sweatshirt inside a donated carrier. His eyes said it all. This guy was in rough shape. His generally poor appearance coupled with some labored breathing in the car prompted us to drive straight to the emergency vet.
He was evaluated, and we were updated on his condition. His neck was covered in scabs and old scars. The deepest of his wounds was severely infected. His teeth were broken, likely the result of trauma. Pretty Boy was sedated in order to have his wounds cleaned out and the infection drained. A drain was inserted to help keep the wound clean. Then he came to his new foster home for two weeks of antibiotics and warm compresses around the drain. The drain has since been removed, along with the sutures. Pretty Boy's next step is dental to remove his painful, broken teeth.
So far, Pretty's Boys vet care has totaled just under $1,000 and he still needs dental surgery once he's totally recovered from his injury. Please consider donating directly to his care through this page. It all adds up to another life saved!!
