Hola everyone! Welcome to my fundraising page for Samaritan’s Feet. Samaritan's Feet is a humanitarian relief organization dedicated to taking a life-changing message of hope to people and equipping the feet of impoverished children in the US and around the world with shoes. 10 million pairs of shoes on the feet of 10 million children in the next 10 years. This is the clear and straightforward mission of Samaritan’s Feet as nearly 300,000,000 people go without shoes each day… and not by choice, and nearly 1,000,000 die each year as a result of foot-borne illnesses that may be preventable by simple protection – shoes. This stark reality is not just confined to third-world countries or remote parts of the globe. This is also a reality for children in advanced nations, including the United States. As well, many children are wearing shoes that are 2 -3 sizes too small for their growing feet and regardless of the circumstances of economic and political issues, or simple geography, these children don’t have a choice.
I will be going to Peru in March 2012 as part of the Shoes of Hope Distribution program. I would love for you to be a part of this opportunity and support this incredible cause by offering your financial support. Any amount will make an impact and be of great help! During this trip, we will be washing the feet of children and fitting them with new shoes, fulfilling a basic need while striving to bring the life-changing message of hope, love, and compassion. Through the Shoes of Hope distributions that take place around the world through the Samaritan's Feet organization, countries have settled civil disputes and initiated social reconciliation programs. Children are now attending school for the first time, and relief is being provided to war torn and disaster ridden nations. For more information on Samaritan's Feet, please visit their website:
Thank you and God bless you!
