Pre-registration for all Walks is available at Sangertown Square Mall (Macy's Fountain) on Friday, March 30 and Saturday March 31 from 10 am - 6 pm
Cooperstown will have an additional pre-registration at the Crayon Carnival, Cooperstown Middle/HighSchool Gym, March 24, 11 am – 3 pm
More than $115,000 was raised for the Kelberman Center in 2011. Proceeds ensured that children and adults living with autism will continue to receive necessary support and services. Your continued generosity for the 2012 Walks will again support recreation and social skills programs such as Awesome Summer Days Camp and Kelberman Corner, and will additionally focus on the development of new programs and services in the following areas:
• Higher Education and College Supports
• Vocation and Career Development
• Individuals with Signifiant
Behavioral Challenges
• Adolescents and Teens
• Home Based ABA
Autism not only affects individuals diagnosed, but also their family, friends, co-workers and communities. The walk is the initiative of a group of parents that hope to heighten autism awareness in their communities. The Kelberman Center is at the forefront of services for autism in the Mohawk Valley and all funds raised by the walks will stay in our area.
