On February 25-26, 2005, we will be fasting for 30 hours on behalf of children in desperate need. In 2005, funds raised will help children in famine-ravaged nations such as Sudan and Kenya, and will help care for poor children in nations worldwide, including the United States. As well, a portion of the 2005 funds will go to aid Asia tsunami victims.

Why am I doing it?

Hunger is one of the world's most preventable problems, yet: - 29,000 children die every day from hunger and hunger-related diseases. That's 203,000 a week! - A child dies every 15 seconds from water-related diseases. - 21% of the world lives on less than $1 per day. Donating through this site is SIMPLE, FAST, and totally SECURE. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me. In famine-ravaged nations such as Kenya and Sudan: - $30 will feed and care for a child for one month - $90 will feed and care for a child for three months - $360 will feed and care for one child for an entire year In doing this fast, not only are we going to be Jesus' hands to the hurting, but we will also learn to identify with the needy.
