We grew out of the realization that 43,000 animals a year were entering the county animal services shelters. And in March 2006, the opening of our low cost clinic, only 16% of these animals were leaving alive. Now, due to over 40,000 low cost spays and neuters, we have begun to get ahead of the curve, and the numbers have begun to turnaround. We are hopeful, yet not happy. And wont be until the last healthy pet has died in the shelters for no good reason. Your donation helps us futher this mission. ACT is focused on both owned and feral cat spay/neuter programs. It is working in conjunction with other animal welfare organizations in Hillsborough County to end the euthanasia of 26,000 companion animals a year.
