Sandy Aldrich's Fundraising Page
I was born a lucky hound; my four legged Mother and Father were happy and healthy Bassett Hounds who were bread by a caring and responsible Bassett Hound Breeder. My two legged Mom purchased me from the breeder when I was 14 weeks old and we have never been apart for more than a day since I came to live with her.
But coming from a reputable breeder is not enough to make one royalty. One must have social skills and show dedication to the
public to deserve to serve as king. I have those skills and dedication.
I am often "the greeter" at our local dog park. I greet the
newcomers with equal enthusiasm, whether hound or not.
The dog park is not the only place where other dogs are welcomed
in. My Mom has brought home two foster brothers in the past and I currently have a foster sister, all who have been welcomed into our home and into my heart.
People need love too and some people have a hard time getting around. Mommy thought it would be a good idea for me to visit the sick and aged; I agreed and became a registered therapy dog.
I really enjoy going to make my visits and lift someone's spirits;
and I can't deny the belly rubs are nice too! My service to the public can't be denied but serving as king would just add a special touch to my visits.
Look at my picture again; do I not look regal? Can you see me
with a crown? If you agree that I am worthy of being crowned
King, then I can promise you that I will remain humble and
continue to serve the public with dignity and devotion.
